So, what's this all about? Why ChuckMcKnight.com? Who is this guy?

Well, first let me say that this site is not about me. This page is, but not the whole site. This site is just a place for me to put some stuff I've done. Somewhat of a portfolio I guess. I picked the URL of ChuckMcKnight.com because it wasn't already taken, and I couldn't think of a better one. Plus it is nice and easy for friends to remember.

So, who am I? Well, here's me in a few paragraphs.

My name is Chuck McKnight. (If you haven't figured that much out by now, I seriously question your mental status.) I was born on November 16, 1988. I am the oldest of four children, followed by my brother, Donny, my sister, Beth, and my other brother, Joey.

We were all born on the island of Jamaica because our parents, Joe and Penny, were missionaries there for seventeen years. During that time, we lived back-and-forth between Jamaica and America. My siblings and I were home-schooled by our mom when we were in Jamaica, and we attended Harford Christian School when we were in America.

We left Jamaica for the last time when I was 16. I graduated from HCS in 2006, and I'm now attending college at Bob Jones University where I am majoring in Information Technology and minoring in Business. I am also currently working for Answers in Genesis in their web department.

I am a Fundamentalist, Calvinist, Bible-thumping Christian. I believe that God's Holy Word is fully inspired and 100% accurate from start to finish. That includes everything from a literal six-day creation, to a worldwide flood, to the virgin birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I believe that a man must place his faith in Jesus as the only possible means of salvation, and I believe that all who refuse will spend eternity in Hell.

On a much less serious note, I am a geek. Computers are my hobby and my field. I'm a huge fan of Open Source Software. I enjoy tech gadgets. I love Star Trek, Star Wars, and all other good science fictions out there. Although my favorite would have to be Back to the Future. I'm also a huge fan of the DeLorean (the car used in the BTTF trilogy).

I love movie soundtracks. You just can't beat the amazing music by John Williams, Danny Elfman, John Powell, and the rest of those extremely talented composers. I also like some classical music, although it is very much on a case-by-case basis. Beyond that, I listen to a little bit here and there from most genres.

Well, that's pretty much all there is as far as a brief summary goes. I may add a little more in time, but that's it for now.
